Yogev Shetrit is an internationally touring drummer and composer whose music connects Moroccan and Andalusian heritage with contemporary jazz.

Born in Be’er Sheva in 1978, Shetrit studied musicology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was a founding member of the internationally acclaimed hip-hop group Coolooloosh.

Since founding his trio in 2016, he has performed in more than 50 countries, including the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Casa del Jazz in Rome, the Panama Jazz Festival, Twin Cities Jazz Festival and major stages across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

His instrumental compositions combine North African tradition, Moroccan and Andalusian rhythm, Israeli melody, contemporary jazz and world music. His discography includes three studio albums — New Path, Serenity and Way of Tradition — alongside two live recordings.
